Who are they…
Expeditions, that I intend to realize this year, correspond exactly to the idea that I have preset a long time ago. To endeavour something new and aim for the most valuable sport styl possible according to current trends of world mountaineering. In other words, to step where no human foot was set before and to grapple with a challenge that those places offer.
Under the name of mountaineering expedition Klättermusen New Decision there are hiding two separate expeditions. Their ambition is a different view of places that are generally presumed not to offer anything heuristic, meaning there is nothing new to discover. What kind of maliciousness have I prepared for myself? I am convinced that stories that will start to happen in the beginning of July will speak to you and arouse your interest. As in past years, you will have the opportunity to follow the full course of the expeditions through articles with photos and later on through films. And how are they going to differ from all the previous ones…
 PAKISTAN-KARAKORAM 9.7. - 2.9. 2009
The first expedition will take me again as already few times before to Karakoram range in Pakistan and its highest peak Gasherbrum I (8 068 metres above the sea level). Just for your information, the last first ascent of our mountaineers to eight thousand meter tall mountain took place while we were still the Czechoslovak Republic in 1989. Twenty years later an attempt of a new ascent on this big hill is a pretty big challenge. A pyramid towering above the Abruzzi glacier became my object. The ascent direction that nature herself prepared and that I will go along I will keep to the last moment a veiled secret. As a partner I have chosen one of our most experienced matadors of conquering eight thousand meter tall peaks Zden?k Hrubý. We will together attempt so called light alpine ascent. Translated into common speech, the start is on Gasherbrum plateau, from here we will climb up without supporting camps and support from other mountaineers and all the way up to the peak, if possible…
SOUTH SHETLAND ISLANDS 20.1. – 25.3. 2010
The second expedition heads directly to the fridge of our planet, where five other guys will join me including Zden?k Hrubý during the upcoming winter. Just reminding you, this one of the most deserted places of our planet. The islands surrounding Antarctica offer not only travel – discovery experience, but as seen from the few pictures that are available, also one can sense a real mountaineering toil. So as a reply to a question „Are there any mountains whatsoever? you will be surprised, but yes and not small ones. Nevertheless, what is our exact finish line in this rough Arctic climate and how we are going to climb these giants that rouse and tower over the ocean surface two kilometres high is still the question mark level.
 The golden bonus of this enterprise is the sole way of transportation from Tierra del Fuego located on the southern tip of South America, from where we will sail on small stylish sailboat through the Drake passage and its tempestuous waters of our planet towards our adventure…After the return to Argetinian mainland I want to take advantage of the fact that I will be so close to my favorite Patagonia. Granite monoliths Torres del Paine or Fitz Roy that have become in past years several times my climbing destinations and they still appeal my restless soul.

2) Documentary, that we will submit to prominent festivals with mountaineering, traveler´s and outdoor themes. It is also very probable that film/s will be broadcasted at some of Czech TV stations.
3) Travelogues and articles will be published in magazines such as Lidé a Zem?, Montana, HighMagazine (GB), Climbing (GB), American Alpine Jurnal (USA) etc. and dailies such as Lidové noviny, MF Dnes.
4) There will be radio interviews on radila (Czech Radio).
